Heartsfield, called "The Grateful Dead of the Midwest" and the "Sweetheats of Lincoln Avenue," toured throughout the 70s, spreading its infectious brand of foot stompin' good-time country rock all across the United States in a tour-de-force of 200-300 dates per year.
