Influenced by popular culture and traditional Japanese art forms, Takashi Murakami is considered to be one of the most significant artists of his generation to emerge from Japan. He has been influential internationally through curatorial projects, artworks and mass-produced items. In this wallpaper installation, 'Jellyfish Eyes,' he uses the vivid colors of Japanese animation and the flatness typically found in Japanese art from the work of Hokusai to manga.
